I am using SAP 4.6, SAP logon 620. A version of which
is installed on one PC and the same on another PC.
SAP on the first PCwill recall entries previously entered
into fields whereas the second PC will not.

How do I enable the second PC to recall previous entries into fields ?

thank you,
Medieval.

To change this option you must first log into sap.

Next click the "Customize of local layout" icon or Alt F12

Choose "Options"

Goto the "Local Data" tab

Choose either History ON OFF Immediate

ON shows history when you start typing
OFF never shows histort
Immediate displays history even before you begin typing.

NOTICE this isn't just for the log-in screen, it's for all fields where history is collected.

Thanks for the advise mscallisto.
I tried this but the option under the "local data" tab
for History ON OFF or Immediate was not available.

Instead it showed..
"The history is disabled because the frontend runs in lowspeed connection mode."

Is there a workaround to this ?

thank you,
medieval.

Hi,
if possible, change to high speed connection.
There might be reasons why you shouldn't do so, e.g. a connection over a slow modem line.
But if both PCs are connected the same way, then it should be possible to run both in the same connection mode.
Changing connection mode usually is done in SAP logon, click 'properties'.
