Hi @ all,
we are using SAP BW since 1999 in our company. It´s a "real" datawarehouse with data comming from all processes from SAP R/3. For instance we have in over 60 companies with all SD/CO data based on article, customer etc. The system is growing up very fast and we reacht 1TB currently. I expect 2TB in the next 12 month.
I am not satisfied with the performance of a query. We use oracle 9.xx and SAP BW 3.0B. We also use aggregates and compress the cubes to avoid additional oracle tables.
Our hardware is well-sized (HP keystone, 16 CPU, 24 GB RAM). We manage currently 600 user, 100 permanent.
Have anyone some tricks to increase the runtime of queries?
Are there any know performance-killers? Have anone expirience with the cache/pre-caching?
It would be grateful if someone can tell their own expiriences.
Thanks in advance.
Marc
