Does anyone know best practices for having a backup of all reports and report schedules in the central management console?

I accidentally deleted a folder full of reports and cannot retrieve it.

Thanks

Our server team just backs up the entire server. SAP stores reports in a odd fashion (I am sure it makes sense to them). Thus a whole server backup (along with the database backup) should work (not an expert here).

APOS Systems has a product called Storage Center that lets you back up your BI system, and then selectively restore content whenever you need to.
Includes reports, schedules, security, universes, connections, etc., etc., etc.

If/when you upgrade to the latest BOBJ version (4.2 SP4 or newer), there is now a recycle bin that you can configure to hold deleted objects for a specified number of days so that you can restore them.

For backups, you need to backup both the database and the filestore folders at about the same time. Recognizing that this synchronization is not always possible, you can go to the "Settings" section of the CMC and set the Hot Backup timeframe that will encompass the time difference between the two backups. See the admin guide for more information about this configuration.
