Hi all,

Currently started working on SAP Business object and have few questions.

Below are my question/doubt, as wanted to know whether it is possible, if yes, how, if not what other option is possible.

1) In SAP business object can we connect oledb/odbc in read only to local Access database.

2) In SAP business object, is there way, a user uses existing universe from SAP business object and uses local machine stored MS access database via SAP object in making query linked Reports.

3) 1 Favorite has 1 query and several tab report.
What other combination is possible in 1 Favorite.
- Is it possible to have in 1 Favorite 2 separate queries with several tab report possible ?

- Is is possible to have 1 Favorite, 2 link query having several tab report?

Please respond, very important for me to understand.

1) In SAP business object can we connect oledb/odbc in read only to local Access database.
This depends on the type of report you're working with. In order to design a report against a "local" oledb/odbc connection, the user will have to use Crystal Reports. At that point, the report cannot be published to and run from BusinessObjects unless a connection to the database is set up on the BusinessObjects server. In order to design in Webi, the BO server will have to have a connection to the database. Any ODBC connection must be set up as a System DSN.

2) In SAP business object, is there way, a user uses existing universe from SAP business object and uses local machine stored MS access database via SAP object in making query linked Reports.
Not unless a connection to the local database has been created on the BusinessObjects server.

What do you mean by "Favorite"? If you mean a Webi report, yes, all of this is possible.
