SAP Basis advice required....

Hello

Any help on the following issue would be greatfully received.

Current platform is SAP 46C on AIX (Oracle DB).

Would like to know is it possible if production db Server goes down to change the ID of another server (not aix hostname) to replace production db server, and what startup profiles/parameters would be required.
