SAP Ariba - change char length of Contract ID

Hello,
We have SAP Ariba and plan to integrate with our SAP ECC ERP system. Our ERP system requires 10 chars for the contract, but Ariba default auto-generated value is only 9 characters in length. How can we make Ariba generate a 10 char Contract ID for contract workspace.
