SAP and Livelink - duplicated document 1

Hello guys,
i am writing for a question.

in a System SAP has been installed open text doculink.
A document is uploaded with SAP WORKFLOW and after creating metadata it stored in archive Server.

NOW, The stored document is duplicated in livelink to view the document in livelink web interface.
The custem says that there are problems of license.

question:
If I connect livelink content server to archive server directly, would is document visible?

To see a document in archive server you will need to use its api a.k.a archivelink. Livelink uses a product called xECM (alos Archive Storage provider module)to achieve this thereby taking out the complexities for you.Simply put the SAPdocument is made into a Enterprise Library document and livelink's DMS rules can be used(permissions search etc).
As a matter of fact a archivelink document does not understand the caller,it is a technical file store built up of database tables and file systems.Any leading application like SAP,Livelink,Exchange,Sharepoint etec etc is able to store items in that,but the leading app is responsible to doing all the business rules.Think of it as a "head less" document management system.
The integrations like xECM(SAP<->Archive<->Livelink) make use of that API and the fact that intelligent business rules can be done on either leading app.Nowhere is duplicating of document encountered unless you want that to happen.
