Environment:
NW 6.5 installed on IBM Blade center.
Using Qlogic Fiber Channel cards
Blade boots from DS4800 SAN.
Boot takes place from LUN 0

I have attached another partition (DATA on LUN1) to the blade. From the Qlogic config (CTRL-Q on boot) I can see both LUNs. Under Netware, I entered SCAN ALL LUNS and then loaded NSSMU. Under devices, I chose to scan.

Results:
I see both FC controllers and 2 paths to the same (boot) volume, but do not see the DATA LUN.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi,

you should youse the following string to load the ql driver in the startup.ncf

qlxxx.ham /SLOT=? /LUNS /ALLPATHS /PORTNAMES /QUALIFIED

You should use also the driver 6.80.08 (if QL2300)
Take also care about the bios settings of the QL adapter recommended by your storage manufacturer !

I don't know how the zoning works on your SAN, but are you sure that a virtual disk has been created and assigned to your device?

the load module is currently:
LOAD QL2300.HAM SLOT=101 /LUNS /ALLPATHS
LOAD QL2300.HAM SLOT=102 /LUNS /ALLPATHS

What do the /PORTNAMES /QUALIFIED switches do?

Yes the virtual disks have been assigned to the blade. Both LUNs can be seen under the bios when you enter the screen to choose the boot partition.
