SAN info Gathering 1

Guys.

Im working on this AIX 4.3 box and i need to know
1. Are there any autmatic backups running?
2. what SAN is used by the server EMC,Hitachi or shark.

Any help will be appreciated.

for no 1 use

crontab

for no 2 use

lsdev -C | grep hdisk
lscfg -v | grep hdisk

you will find that in the description i guess!

Just to add to the above i usually use this command for my SAN:

fget_config -vA

very nice command to view the LUNs from within the AIX box.

That did absolutely nothing when I ran it...

I'm not sure which fileset you need to be able to do so but I ran it with no problems on my san!

Which version of AIX do you have?

Try the truss command (if the command doesn't seem to return anything)

man truss
