Samsung TS-552B Dont burn cdr's anymore

I have the Samsung TSSTCorp TS-H552B DVD/CD Burner. The problem is it stopped burning cd-r media and cd-rw. It Burns DVD'S no problem.It reads all media ok.I have tried various software programmes but still no go.I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before.

I have had similar problems with different drives. Try getting a firmware upgrade or using a CD cleaning disc. Not saying that this will work, but it is worth trying before throwing the drive out.
