Samsung SyncMaster 920Nx Black Screen with Clicks

Hi,

My Samsung SyncMaster just gone black screen in the middle of a session. It does not display when I reboot the system nor does it work when I reconnected it to another PC. It is very much dead and it produces a click sound every half a second - just like it clock. Does this look like a capacitor / resistor problem? Or is it likely that there are other parts on the board which are more difficult to repair getting problem?

It really isnt worth spending much time or money on it since new LCD Monitors cost peanuts.

Likely capacitors, and a worthwhile repair. Decision point is when the board is out.

Thanks Ed for the info. I've been using this panel for a number of years yet it still fits what I want need. Certainly prefer a green solution and the satisfaction of getting something fixed. Will give it a shot before going for a new one. Kent
