Hi all,

I need some help here, maybe just a programming issue.........

I've installed an external 105db Bell 24v on the DCS 816 at port 36/11 the correct MDF but it does not ring.
I have enabled the device on 362 and put it into group 500

Every time the phone rings from outside line there is no voltage on the external Common Bell port (it should be 24v on voltmeter)
I think I may have missed something in the programming?

Anyone have any experience of this system or things to check?

Standalone the Bell works and is fully tested!

All documents are here online:

Thanks

Kal

Hi Kal
usually we would connect the bell directly as an extension or in series with an existing extension, but only analogue not digital. so when the specified extension rings so too will the bell.
if you have a fancy bell that is driven by a power supply you would need to connect that aswell but if a syou mention it is 24v then there should be no problem.

Hi Samsungtech,

I connected as your suggested however the bell rings continuously whether the phone rings or not, it's on ext pair 14

Any other ideas?

Would really appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks

Kal.
