Hi I have a Samsung 7200 and need to program an extension with a direct dial number (DD'i) I need to add a number to point to the extension. Can this be programmed at the handset itself? I do have the Samsung Installation tool on my laptop but don't know the default user names or password or if it has been password protected??

Can anyone provide me a dummy step by step way of doing this? Many thanks in advance.

I can but you will need a password to get through the phone , you can backdoor all the passwords from the phones but that is against forum rules

I have tried the default passwords 200 & 1234 that gets me in and I can go to 323 and enter the DDI to be presented. The technician default 800 & 4321 does not work? It seems the previous engineers changed it and now you can't get hold of them. I have the programming tool on my laptop but have never used it??? And am not sure what to connect to what? I presume it needs IP addresses etc. Does it usually acts as a DHCP server? I usually work on AVAYA this system is new to me?? Any help would be appreciated. The only option I can see at the moment is to default it??

Hi thanks, the incoming DDI works fine. BT have confirmed six digits to switch and CLIP is activated. I have entered the six digits in program 323 however it still presents the main number ???

ok so assuming you are using either BRI/PRI its MMC 419/420 respectively ,"option 3" CLIP table if this entry is blank it will send out the cli defined in mmc405 check these tables and populate with 1 assuming you are using table 1 in MMC 323 (default).

Hi forgot to confirm . Can all these steps be done using ID 200 / password 1234 from the handset?

yes you should be fine unless the original tech locked it down , but there is no reason to do that with station programming.
