I am running Backup Exec 7.3 on a stand-alone NT server (i.e. it is not a domain controller). I am responsible for backing up the PC's and servers in my area. Elsewhere in our organization there are other installations of Backup Exec and for about 2 months now I have been getting the following error message on my server:
The following systems are installed with the same serial number:
Server_x and Server_y
This is a violation of the Veritas software license.
I reported this error to the systems administrator and he told me that they uninstalled Backup Exec on Server_x and installed it on Server_y and he doesn't understand why I am getting an error message on my server.
Any ideas?
