Installing NetWare 5.1 - there are multiple nics, ready for an IP. When I attempt to bind, say 192.168.1.x to one nic and then 192.168.1.x+1 to another nic -NW5.1 screams "No"
Either during install or using inetcfg after install -NetWare seems to not bind an IP address to a different nic if an IP already is bound in the same network (subnet).

If the IP addresses are on the same subnet I don't think you can have the same subnet on different cards. You can try load balancing or you can add secondary ip address to the first nic, this would then host both ip addresses. Lee Smith

What you need to do is bind a secondary IP to the other nic... When Netware 6 is released you will be able to not only load balance efficiently, but use fault tolerant Ip Addressing,

NIC 1 NIC 2
Primary IP NIC1 Primary IP NIC2
Secondary IP NIC2 Secondary IP NIC1 (Same as Primary on other card)

this will also give you failover as well...

The earlier mentioned response should also work but you will have to investigate further.
