I have installed a network/windows domain called dsajn.net on a w2K3 server.
I also have a internet domain at my ISP.

When I log in to my windows domain and try to browse in internet explorer, I can't se that page and it looks like it routes it to my windows domain.

Is there somewhere in the DNS i need to change that it should route that path out to internet?

You could put a static route into your local DNS to the server that hosts your external website.

Hi.

How should I do that?
Is it in the forward lookup zone?
Should I add the name or do I need the IP (to the site or ISP?)

Yes you should create the record in the forward lookup zone for your domain dsajn.net.

DNS requires both the IP address and server name to be added. Create a new Host (A) record using the name and the IP address which will be that of your ISP's webserver.

The problem will be that you will need to keep thisrecords up-to-date manually. If the ISP change their IP address or server name your DNS entry will be invalid.

To be honest if this is a new setup and you haven't gone too far you might find it easiest to reinstall active directory and use a different domain name for your internal structure such as dsajn.local. That way any requests for your website can be forwarded to your ISP.

I know that would be esiest. but I have 40computers connected to the network domain and it would take to much time to fix em all.

i did this 3 years ago.. trust me when i say it would be better in the long run to follow steves g's comments.. ihad 40 pc's i reloaded the server a fresh, after saving what i needed it took me 5 hrs to start again.. this time make the domain a ********.local it will pay in the long run :)
