I'm running multiple instances of the same project; I compile different projects, the instance handle is ALWAYS the same = 0x00400000.

Spy++ shows it too.

What's going on?

the hInstance make sence to use only insude current process. You can not use hInstance of other processes, because it is virtual, and it correcpont to virtual DS registry. You can load dll's, in ths case, the hInstance of dll will be different. On Win16 hInstance was physical address of current process and hPrevinstance was the instance of preview the same type process. Now in is always 0. So programs are executed as as they are single on the current computer.
