I'm trying to put on the same graph, the profit, for 12 months, for this year,
and the profit the profit, for 12 months, for this previous year.
Please help me with this, if possible.

Sorry

I'm trying to put on the same graph (chart), the profit, for 12 months, for this year,
and the profit, for 12 months, for previous year.

Assuming I understand your challenge correctly, I have achieved this in the past by:
[ul]
[li]create a formula to return the year and another to return the month [/li]
[li]Use the Advanced option in the Chart Expert (Data tab) to set "On Change of Year" to the year formula, and "Subdivided by" to the month formula [/li]
[/ul]

Hope this helps

Cheers

I'm sorry for the late reply. I can't see "Subdivided by" in Advanced/Chart Expert. Could you help, please?

Sorry, my instructions were for 2008.

You still need formulas (2) to separately return the Year and Month for each date field. Then, in the Chart Expert on the Data tab, click on Advanced, and Add the {@Month} formula and then the {@Year} formula to the On Change of section.

Hope this helps

Excellent, it works, thank you. I have tried before this but with @year and @month in On change of, and it didn’t work. Could you explain why it does work changing the order in On change of in @month, @year, please?

Glad it helped.

Not sure I can explain. It took me a while to figure it out when I needed to use it (trial and error I think), and the next time I went to use it (CR2008) the approach had changed (to the way I described it in my original post) - perhaps BO realised it was counter intuitive and that's why it changed.

Cheers
Pete
