Ok, I setup my first samba few minutes ago. Now, I configured the smb.conf file as much as possible, restarted the smbd and voila,I can see it in my network. But there is a problem. UNIX users can't login directly. :( .even root can not.
Where do I add samba users?
or converting UNIX users to samba users would be nice.
Thanks in advance.

How is your samba set up? Can you post your smb.conf file? James Collins

ok, exactly what part should I post? Because this is a pretty long file if I paste all of them.
If you're ok, reply back and I'll paste it all.
Thanks a lot.

Email me the file. I can look at it then give you some feed back.

The smbpasswd program adds, deletes and updates the users that are allowed to login. //Daniel
