We use samba shares that need 24 hour access. Normal operation is that the share is set up by a user but when that user logs off the share disconnects. We need to have samba shares that do not depend on opon windows sessions . Any suggestions how we can achieve this.
What software is using these Samba shares? When logging off, there is no normal software left running so the share is no longer in use, and if you have services that need access to the shares, then they already can't access these shares through the currently logged in user.
Explain how you would want to use these shares plz.
