I have an issue that I think is caused becasue the Samba server will not authenticate me.
Here are the details:
I can see my samba shares from my XP machine and one of the shares I can access however when I try ot access the second share I receive an error message, "\\Port4 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission.
You were not connected becasue a duplicate name exists on the network. Go to system in Control Panel to change the computer name and try again."
I can ping XP from my linux computer names port4 and vice versa.
I have two linux machines: port3 & port4.
They are both set up exactly alike. Every single thing about them is configured the same except the IP addresses.
In advance that you for your help and ideas I amreally lost on this one.
