Dear All,

I need your help !

I installed RH Linux 9 on my PC. I need to share files and printers installed on this machine with windows clients. I am able to see the shared folders but while browsing I do not get shared printer although printers field in the smb.conf file shows the printers as "Breowseable=Yes".This configuration has been done by SWAT utility.

Can someone help in resolving the issue ?

Thanks In Advance

Please post the [printers] section of your smb.conf file. It should look something like:
Code:
[printers]
	comment = All Printers
	path = /var/spool/samba
	browseable = no
#	to allow user 'guest account' to print.
	guest ok = yes
	writable = no
	printable = yes

Initially, the file had this entry:

[printers]
Comments: All Printers
path: /var/spool/samba
printable: yes
browseable: no

When I issue this command in nautilus: smb:

I can see my workgroup, then server and then disk shares. No print shares are visible.

I tried to add another printer q1 further and the result was the following additional entry:

[q1]
Comments: Shared Printer
path: /var/spool/samba
read only: no
printable: yes
printer name:q1
oplocks: no

Still nothing comes in the screen when disk shares are displayed.

Please help !!!

Thanks
