Samba not resolving with wins server

I am using Mandrake 8.2 and Samba. Samba and Samba client are installed and running. I point to the wins server linux won't resolve computer names. I can ping the wins server and I can ping the Linux server's name and the name gets resolved.

I have another server also running 8.2 and pointing to Samba and it will resolve netbios names. I compared both Samba configurations but found no differences.

Any suggestions are welcome.
