Hello!

I´m new in this forum, my name is Markus and I come from Germany.
My first question is: Can anybody give me more commandos for the logonscripts by using Samba as PDC?
I need more commands!

Thank you very much!

Markus

What do you want to do with these batch files? Map a drive?

net use drive letter: \\server\resource

print a logon message:

type "Hello, you are logged on.."

display PATH info

echo "Your syspath is %PATH%."

goodluck.

Thank you!

Yes, I have map some drives! And I have set the time with set time \\Server /set/yes. That run wonderfull.
Only I want to know are all commands i can use! I collect all commands!
Thank you marsd, the type, display and echo command are new for me. I can use this commands!
Write me more than you know more from this usefull commands!

Hi,

You can use any dos command supported on the client. The logon script whether it comes from a samba pdc or a 'real' NT/2000 server is just a batch file executed on the client machine. As such, what can be in it and the exact syntax varies by M$ version. For example the 'NT' implementation of the 'NET' command can do more than the Win9x version.

So you really want a reference on M$ DOS commands, perhaps with specific reference to the 'net' series of commands. It's got nothing to do with samba because the code runs on the client.

Have a look at this for some examples -->
