samba domain and win xp

my win xp having prob. win i try to put it to a domain that is a samba domain.it appears that "a domain controller cannot be contacted, ensure that the domain name typed correctly."how to connect a win xp to a samba domain. i'm using red hat 7.3.

Have you created a machne account on the Samba DC for the XP system? ALso ensure the username and password you are using on the XP machine is also on the Samba DC. James Collins
