Hi everybody, i´m some new working with Unix, i have in my company 3 workstations with AIX, but i need to store all their infomation in a Windows 2003 server, i think that i need to configure SAMBA Service to share a volume and then store the data there.
I was wondering on internet and i found a redbook from IBM but is since 2000, Do you know if exist more current information about how to configure this service? or do you know another way to make this communication?

Thanks in adavanced.

Have you considered using Microsoft's Windows Services for UNIX (SFU)? You could install the NFS server software on the 2003 server. This would allow the AIX systems to use NFS to mount the Windows partitions. That is likely easier than configuring each AIX system with samba and getting them into the domain.

I need to install a special third software or this service is comming with my Windows 2003 server.
Do you know the name of this service?
Thank for your help.

Great!!! Thank you very much!!
I will make some test.

Thanks again.
