I need to setup samba shares, where each valid users for a share can be one among the users on the system. No external domains or whatsoever used. All local users. How can I authenticate these users using the same passwd as in /etc/passwd. And what should be the Globals contain for this to work

I'm not completely clear on what you're asking. However, since you are new to samba, I suggest you take a look at this.
