Hi...

running Samba on FreeBSD 5.1

the PDC is working fine, however, there is an issue...

the boss, and his wife are members of the administrators group, in the peer-to-peer networking they used to have they were able to add software to their respective computers at will...

now, that they log onto a domain, I need for them to have the same administrator, or power user permissions.

Samba, doesn't seem to pass these permissions, or I don't hav the correct permissions set.

how do I go about giving these people the proper acces...

also, when I do log onto the domain, I cannot do the same.
either as an account user who belongs to the "wheel" group
or by logging onto the nt domain as root

Hi , Actually i have run in this problem,
I am asumming the connecting machines are Nt based.
You need to add the users gloal account to the local administrators group of the local machine that the users needs to have permissions on.
nt will treat the logged on Samba users "global users" as part of the Local users group unless they are added locally to the admins group you cant install software etc.
