SAMBA and Printer Driver Downloads

After reading the documentation at the SAMBA web site concerning downloading printer drivers on demand, I am still confused and unable to get this function to work properly.

I have defined the print$ share, as well as the necessary subdirectories, but I have been unable to upload drivers to the apropriate directory. How can this be accomplished? I have tried the Add Printer Wizard without any success.

Any suggestions anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
