Hi All,
I recently spoke with someone regarding using gtar with samba. The individual said that, he "believed", that their is
a version of gtar currently availble that allows you to
backup both unix and NT files without using the either the
smbtar or smbclient commands.
I have had to use the smbclient command in order to back up one of our NT filesystems because the box that it is on does not give it the capability to be NFS mounted.
I checked and found no mention of any product like this. I also, briefly, skimmed the gnu website and found nothing there relating to this question. Did "this person" give me accurate information or is he mistaken?
