samba aix 5.2 bff ftp from bullfreeware.com

I downloaded aix 5.2 samba from bullfreeware.com. I did not get an error message during the download. but the file size listed on bullware does not match what was downloaded.
When I use smitty to install it fails with below message

Are you sure the download was in binary ?

Looks like the download is incomplete.
The download should be over 60 MB if I remember correctly

I downloaded file again 57115kb or 55.77mb another user at another computer got the same size file. Has anybody had success smitty installing the aix 5.2 samba 3.0.4.0.bff from
bullfreeware.com?

When you select the file you are not asked binary or ascii
it just saves the file.

I'll check an installation with this again.
I've found packages from UCLA to be better though. (although I prefer compiling from source)
I've got 3.0.10 installed on 2 AIX 5.3 boxes using the AIX 5.1 package from UCLA

Okay, I re-downloaded the file from the above link
67379200 Jun 18 2004 samba-3.0.4.0.bff
Note the file size.
Did a preview smitty install without any problem.

I downloaded this file using wget on the AIX host.
How did you download and get the archive onto the AIX server?
Could it be possible that the download was incomplete but remained cached on your proxy server hence the other guy having the same corrupt file size??

I downloaded from the bullfreeware/aix5.2 samba 3.0.4 site.
I have not used wget. Not sure about the caching question.

I downloaded the exact same file today, the size is in fact 67379200. I used "restore -f samba-3.0.4.0.bff" to extract the files and it worked ok. I installed after that pointing the device to the path instead of the bff file and I didn't have any problems.

So it must be a corrupt download...
