samba 2.2.3, winbind and w2k

we have running samba 2.2.3 together with winbind getting user information from our nt4 PDC. It works great so I have same fear to migrate our nt4 PDC to windows 2000 and active directory. has anyone expirience with samba 2.2.3 making its authentification by winbind and windows 2000 server with active directory.
