Hello,

I had the following:

Samba 2.2.1a PDC
2 x Win98 PC's
1 x Win2000 Pro laptop

All the above are members of my Samba domain. After upgrading one of the PC's to WinXP Pro (SP1) I cannot get the PC to recognise the PDC's presence when logging on.

I also upgraded my Laptop from Win200 Pro to WinXP Pro (SP1) and, guess what, same thing can't access the domain.

My one and only remaining WinME PC still connects to the PDC without any problems.

Any suggestions as to what the problem is here?

Thanks

Glenn

You need to add machine accounts to samba. Have you tried this? If not let me know and I will let you know how. James Collins

It wasn't that. I had to change an XP registry setting to allow XP to join my domain.
Thanks

Glen,

What XP registry setting did you have to change, I'm having problems getting my XP machines to login to secured directories on my HP-UX box, they login fine to the unsecured directories.
