I LOVE samba. We've got numerous servers running AIX and SuSE Linux 7.3 Pro. Samba runs on all of them and all workstaions and other servers can access each other.

However, we now have ONE XP Pro box that we CANNOT access the Linux shares. It CAN access the AIX shares, no problem.

We tried just about everything we can think of based on our web research.

Has anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Try to post the smb.conf (just leave out the comments ;-) ) that will make it easier to determine the source of the probem.
If you can change the debug level to 3 and post the relevant part of the logs too.
Can you see the Linux box in the network neighborhood ?
What's the error message?
Can you access it if you use the IP ?

Hans

Not sure, but standard XP-install does not include the NETBIOS protocol? Samba/SMB requires NETBIOS over TCP/IP.

As mentioned, I'm not sure but you asked for suggestions...
