For no reason, one of directory was missing and i want to recover it (maybe it was deleted). I log in as supervisor, and when i run salvage utility and choose the first menu "Salvage form Deleted Directory" i found a message "You don't have rights to recover files from deleted directories on this Volume"
I really need to recover the directory because there's alot off important files on it. But if i only delete a file, it can be recovery.

You need to have full rights to the volume. When a directory is deleted, it places the deleted files into the DELETED.SAV folder in the root of the volume. If you point your salvage to here (you cannot browse and see them), you may find your file. You cannot salvage a whole directory (unless you know all of the filenames) -----------------------------------------------------

I already give the supervisor full right to the SYS volume, but i still have found the message that i don'g have a rights to recover the deleted directory. I even couldn't found the DELETED.SAV. By the way, i'm using netware 3.12.

The DELETED.SAV folder is hidden. Run a command prompt, go to the drive letter (must be just mapped to the volume eg. SERVER1/SYS:) and CD DELETED.SAV

Are you Supervisor equivalent? (By the way, this is the NetWare 4 forum, you may have better luck in the NetWare 3 forum) -----------------------------------------------------
