I have a user that has been getting some erros on the Sales Transaction Entry screen - I have tried this use on another computer, and the error did not occur (maybe didn't wait long enough) - I have uninstalled GP from their computer and reinstalled it, thought it worked, but apparently it didn't.

The errors previously prevented this user from printing properly - though now they can so it isn't so much a deal as before. No hurry on anything - the errors are below:

An open operation on table 'IV_Cost_Variance_TEMP' failed because the path does not exist.
Occured when the user opened the window.

An open operation on table 'SOP_Error_Log_TEMP' failed because the path does not exist.
Occured when the user tried to print.

Both of these tables are ctree TEMP tables. This means that they are created in the local workstations TEMP folder. You can use the SET command from a Command Prompt to check the environment variables.

Please check that the TEMP and TMP environment variables are set for this workstation and that the folder pointed to exists and has read/write access.

I would also suggest that you ensure you have exited from all applications and then delete any contents of the TEMP folder. It would normally be found at:

C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Local Settings\Temp

You might need to tell the file explorer to show hidden files and folders.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dave,

I've tried what you suggested, and it appears to have cleared up the errors (the user isn't complaining anymore so that's always good).

Thanks again.
