Sales Orders and Allocated Inventory 1

Is it possible that I can enter a Sales Order in Peach, and the Qty field will "allocate" the inventory so that the amount of "Qty" I entered on the Sales Order is no longer available to promise or MOST importantly, generate an Invoice for ?

I could be wrong here but you can enter sales orders for an item and it will not allert you to the fact that you do not have sufficient inventory until after you start invoicing the sales orders. Example: you have just released a new product and you are taking orders before you start shipping any of that product. I do not believe that Peachtree will alert you to the fact that you have booked more than you have in inventory or will soon have according to your purchase orders for that item.
