OK. Im getting myself wound in knots here.

Situation is I want a Sales Deptarment to all have access to a multicall line running on an MX3300

I have set multiple phones up with a multicall key 201 ext.

I have set a hunt group up on 211 which has 201 within it.

When a caller calls the hunt group you get a ringing tone for around 30seconds, followed by silence followed by the hold music.

If another caller comes into that hunt group while the first is still ringing, they dont get a ring tone or hold music untill the first call has been answer. Once the first call is answered the 2nd caller gets hold music.

What is the suggested way to set this up on an 3300MX?

The key thing is I want all phones within the sales department to ring which they wont do if I add the individual ext. to the hunt group.

Also it would be good to have the hold music start stright away rather than after a period of time.

Can that be done?

Tim

you are half way there.

Rather than putting 201 into a hunt group, delete the hunt group and just system speed call 211 to 201 and make sure that all your 201 programmed keys on the handsets are set to ring.

Remember you can only have a maximum of 32 instances of a key.

Thanks for your Mail Ian.

The one thing I forgot to mention is that I wanted RADs on this sdales line which is why I went down the hunt group route.

Once I have sorted out the problem of why the RADs decide the lenght they are rather than the actual lenght of the message (see another post)

Basically the RADs choose their lenght (or should I say, theyve decided on their lenght)

One RAD which is quite short and says, thanks for hold, plays one and a half times. Another RAD that is longer and goes on about sending an email, plays only 3/4 of the way through.....

Just tried the speedial option as you said just in case the RADs never get sorted.

All works but can I get the music on hold to play instead of the ring?

music on hold seams to only work on the huntgroups once the first RAD has been played and nowhere else

Tim

ok sry no you will not get music on hold at this point.

On your RAD issue though the greetings length is determined via the class of service in the timers answer plus setting message length off hand i cant remember the other 2 but they are all together you need to time your message and add about 4 secs to it and assign that to the class of service if you have several rads you may need to assign a different cos to each of them with different timers
