I am trying to write a report where there would be 12 columns with total sales for a customer by month in each column, for a year. How do I do this? Thanks for any help.

Mfroggie,

You can either do a Crystal created cross-tab or a manual cross-tab. It is going to depend on how your data is stored. You would have to provide more informatino to make the determination.

By the way, your a vendor, may I ask, of what?

I sell ACCPAC and SYSPRO. This data is stored in Pervasive for ACCPAC. I will play with cross-tab feature and see if I can figure it out. Thanks much

Well I have my cross-tab and it works great, but now I want to have the totals by month and I am getting a column for every day there is an order for customer. I can't figure out how to get it to show total by month. I have created a group to group on my transaction date and told it to group by month. Then I set up a sum({fld, condfld, cond}) formula but the formula doesn't show up as a report field when I go to format my cross-tab. Thanks for any help.

Select the date column in the cross-tab and select Group Options->A column will be printed for each month.

You can also customize the display using the Customize Group Name Field->Use a Formula.

I just saw the post you made a few down and I did just that. It worked, but one more thing, can I put a total in for each year or limit the columns to just the last 12 months? Thanks
