SAL GW changes after migration 1

If I went from a h/w system platform based SMGR to VMWare, what are the necessary SAL GW changes? Do you just modify the IP address of SMGR and delete the entries related to System Platform etc.. ?
 
That is what I would do. It appears there are procedures for doing this but they are never clear on the Avaya website and getting a live answer from them about this is terribly difficult.

Maybe someone else here will have better info....

 
Not sure if you are still looking for an answer to this, but in the case you are... In short yes, just change the IP of the SMGR in the SALGW and remove the VSP entries.
 
IMHO you have to raise registration in GRT.avaya.com - there is an option to select when SMGR (or other applications) resides on VMWare. In Avaya records your system will still remain as System Platform based (Avaya support team will see SAL connection errors to System Platform of old SMGR). Then you will receive new SEID to SMGR.
