Let me start by saying I'm a *programmer* trying to locate more info on a *network* issue...My knowlege of the server side is limited at this point :(

That said, Sage is installed in a Win2000 server, and is setup for access as a Published Application. We have 26-30 branches accessing main server *farm* (4-6 servers in addition to main one)...probably about 125 users of this app.

The problem is that the performance of Sage is SUPER if you run it from the main server it's installed on, but if you run from any other server in the farm, performance is horrible...

At this point, I'm just fishing to see if anyone else out there has a similar setup and what their experience is.

I can get detailed specs on O/S and hardware if it comes to that, but for now I'm just looking for similar info.

Thanks VERY much for any information...this has been a continuing problem for close to a year... :(

You don't mention if an Accpac screen takes a long time to load and once loaded the performance is fine or if the screen takes a long time to load _and_ the performance is slow after that.

Usually the first step is to take anti-virus out of the equation. Tell the anti-virus software on the other stations to ignore the Accpac program folders when downloading the applications. Let the main server do its nightly sweep.
