Sage Payroll ODBC error

Having backed up my data using sage payroll, I then installed windows XP pro. I loaded sage ok, but then when I tried to restore my data from disk, it cannot be written to the database. Why is this? Also, the error message says that 1: cannot write to odbc database. 2: I do not have permission to do so. I have tried the repair tool but also it says I do not have authority. PLEASE HELP!. My payroll is lost otherwise.

I have also had the identical problem and have not yet found a solution. I see you have had no responses, but I'm hoping that you may have found a solution by now...if so can you help me please.
