Sage 300 2014 performance gets EXTREMELY slow once we perform a GL batch reversal.

We have Sage 2014 and Microsoft SQL 2012 installed on a Lenovo server with 64GB ram,ssd HDD and 2x 2,4Ghz xeon E5 processor.

Is there any reason why Sage 300 with operate so slow, at times or users cant even work...

No reason. None of my clients have this problem. Have you talked to your Sage consultant?

Sounds like SQL server overload - it may not be directly related to GL batch reversal. It could be anything that pushes the server to its limit.

we have set the SQL Server maximum memory to 50000MB

Memory is only part of the equation. What about CPU? Have you set the database's Recovery Model to Simple?

Didn't do any changes to the CPU any recommendations?

yes recovery model has been set to simple

Call your Sage consultant, somebody needs to watch the activity in SSMS while it's happening.

Are you running SQL Express?
You will not believe how many companies run express and complain about speed.
