Hi,
Am looking for help with an issue with SafeNet Soft-PK and Windows 2000. Basically, we're fairly new to VPN so I might have made a basic mistake, but here's the scenario:
In the office, we have a 2MB line to the Internet, connecting to our 3Com SuperStack 3 firewall; we also have a server running RRAS. At a remote user's home, we have installed a W2K PC which uses Soft-PK to connect to the firewall, and then W2K to connect to the RRAS.
The user connects to the firewall and authenticates ok. The user then connects to the RRAS and authenticates ok. At this point the user can see the entire LAN quite happily.
But then, after 3 to 4 minutes (it varies), Soft-PK loses the connection to the firewall! If you then disconnect from the RRAS, Soft-PK will re-establish the connection to the firewall all by itself. But we don't know why it's disconnecting in the first place.
Is there anyone out there who can shed any light on this?
Thanks,
Tim
