I've setup a new system with XP Home and for some reason all three of my internal SATA hard drives (C Drive included) are showing up in the Safely Remove Hardware Menu.

Any one have any idea how to correct this beyond reinstalling XP again?

Thanks

I solved my own issue:

It looks like the SATA drivers for my nvidia chipset-based motherboard causes Windows to believe that it is some kind of removable device.

regedit

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\nvata

create a DWORD value named DisableRemovable with value 1
