Hi folks,

Okay,so I had a braincramp and forgot to check for a restore point before attempting to load(maybe a double brain cramp) sp2 from cd in safe mode. This hung at the finishing stage so I killed it(this was all done because of a spyware/redirect problem.)I wanted to get the updated security patches from sp2 on the pc before running spyware removal tools.Redirects were still happening so I attempted to run a repair using the manufacturer's XP Pro SP1 disk. This gets to a certain point of installing devices and then repeatedly loops to a BSOD 0x000000C2 "pool" message.Other safe mode options just go back to restart to the device loader/BSOD.Not able to load "debugger" tools.Haven't found much else except suggestions to reload whole OS.Any other ideas would be appreciated.

As you are stuck halfway through an Install the above two suggestions may have passed you by.

Remove all easily accessible hardware devices, especially anything that is USB. Turn off any Virus Scanning by your Bios, reboot and see if Setup can complete.
