Hi all,

I really need to know what the SA password is on a SQL server, is it in the registry as plain text at all?

If so can you tell me where I can find it?

I can't change it as it may break the systems which plug into SQL!!

Thanks.

it's not in the registry. SQL Server does not store any passwords in the registry. If you don't know it you should change it. And you shouldn't let applications use the 'sa' account.
