anyone know the use of this service, If I have to take a educated guess, I would say it has to do with SUNMC, basically we do not run SUNMC at our shop, so if it is part of SUNMC, or something that is really not needed, I would like to shut it down.

I *think* it is only on Solaris 10, I'm not seeing it on our Solaris 9 boxes.
