Do anyone know how to setup and connect remote access to the S8700 server via a modem or the 2700 tracker, your help will be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, to connect to the server you would need to access your LAN remotely, usually by RAS. You will then have IP connectivity to the switch. You could plug a modem into any machine on the network but I think your security guys may freak! John

1st When you final Reg the 8700 avaya e-mails you a script file to be placed in the 8700. have to do or have done before you can get in...

2nd you set a RAS connection same as for the LX. login password, get garbage on screen hit "done".

3rd, launch explorer with the IP of the server, should get the web interface.

hope it helps, we have had issues with the modems "going to sleep" as avaya explains it??
