s8500 to g700 gateway

Ok here is the deal. I am a business partner tech. My sale man here told me that you can hook up a g700 gateway to a s8500. And you can just use the S/N off of the g700 for the IPSI programming! Hummm I think it in not right. I know you can add a g700 to the s8500 as a gateway. But as far as I know you need a IPSI board for the main location for the license file. Can anyone help me out.

If you can does any one have the intergration docs?

your sales rep is right, this is supported configuration. in such case, license is tied to g700 s/n, just like s8300 does. try looking in docs under s8500, something like installation guide.

yep, possible indeed.. this way you can even setup the S8500 as an LSP for the G700
